You can see the waterline and how high it got.

Darwin was out and about in it, but got scared away from the big puddle when a small air bubble popped. He jumped back about 3 feet and avoided that water like the plague. Where ever water was pouring into my yard, he and Otto were going around like little Doozers (from Fraggle Rock) just digging away freeing up leaves and biting at the water. Even Austin was out in it in all his shaggy glory. I wish I had the video camera rather than the regular one, Dolly tried to initiate zoomies with Darwin, but I had to put a stop that nonsense.

Dang! And here I though we got a lot of rain yesterday. My yard drains well but Dud came in with muddy paws.

My trash can was open from the garbage men today and it was 1/4 full of water:shocked: Of course I went out in the middle of it and emptied it, with Austin traipsing behind me, loathe to miss anything and the first to get past the patented doxie foot block at the door. It was thundering and lightening:shocked: so we beat pawz back inside.

He actually looks like he is enjoying rooting around in it..I can tell you, mine would not take any steps in that!

They were having a total field day rooting around in the wet leaves. The very same dogs who prefer to pee indoors rather than get their dainty little footies wet were out totally frolicking in the puddles. Otto's crank was DRAGGING IN THE WATER! I told him to "get it" in the corner where the water was pouring in and he just went nutz digging. Coming up with mouth fulls of leaves and tossing them aside.

Thankyou very much Andrea, our way is getting what you had:sosad: My kitchen floor is a mush of little feetsie prints - they REFUSED to even consider the dog door this morning... oh well!

Just looking at those pics, Mr. Butters said, "F**K that!" He won't go out if the dew is on the grass- I can't imagine puddles like that!

You must spend half your day wiping mud off of paws!

No wiping mud off pawz at all, their little footies were clean under all that water. I did wipe off bellies though. He and Austin were pretty soaked.

And a funny note~ my neighbors had been watering their lawn, as you saw in the Very Bad Darwin post pics, and had started this muddy mess. Turns out, they'd just put down 50lbs of grass seed, all of which washed away into MY lawn:rotfl: Now I don't have to seed.

Yikes is right! Shall we send a small boat, filled with cookies?

Alas, the flood has passed, but it still is a bit wet. I keep walking the puppers and it ends up raining on us. All are always welcome to send emergency cookies, for the next catastrophe (for example: me being without cookies)

Oh boy, I can only imagine the number of towels you needed to try 'em off. Very cute! No way would Tasha venture into that though--even to guard a yard.
