I am on vacaiton until next Wednesday. (Our trip a tiny bit South was squashed) So, I wanted to take Pippit somewhere special on his big day. I've been here before(before I had Pippit, before losing that big chunk of weight~so before I could really go hiking) It's about an hour and a half away and it's supposed to be nice out on Thursday, too. So, we'll head up there with some hiking gear and just enjoy oursleves!

:cheer2: :cheer2: His big birthday party will be on Sunday though. :)

How long is the hike? I looked at the hiking map....was a tad confusing for me :duh:

Please take lots of pics!

Pippit is so lucky to be going to such a beautiful place with his Mommy :hearts:

I want to make plans this summer for us to go there with the 3 boys. It looks like SO much fun!

We are back from the castle. It was a great day!!! There was snow on all the trails and Pippit impressed me by not being bothered by the snow on his feet. We hiked for about 2 hours and are both pretty tired now.

I did take pics....and am working on them~they'll be in their own post.

Jill~yes, we should go hiking with the boys this spring/summer~that would be so much fun!!

Janet~we hiked on various trails~probably about 3 miles or so. It was hard to follow the trails because they were covered with snow.

Is it in So CT or North? Tasha would :love5: to go hiking there!!

Glad you had fun and Pippit didn't mind the snow. Tasha will willingly hike in the rain. But go walkies in it at home? No way.

Being so far behind due to work and tornadoes this is the first chance I got to check out the site! How neat!!! I LOVE stuff like that! Too bad nothing even close around here:sosad:

Wow, that place looke really fun! It's not too awfully far from where I live; we'll have to plan a trip there on a nice spring day. I know the puppers would just love it, too.:appl:
