Poor Mitzi didn't make it......her mommy needs lots of prayers too...she feels very guilty and we all know what a heavy load that can be....
Mitzi's life was short but she was truely loved for 10mths with her mom....she thought the world revolved around Mitzi....
God's speed little girl...lifes not always fair....but your momma gave it all she had to save you:angel7:
I'll post pics of Mitzi later:hearts:

Oh, no - that is so sad! I was really hoping for the best, after all the care she had. Run free, Mitzi - say hi to my bridge furkids, too! :sosad: :hug99: to her hoomom, who certainly did everything she could to save her. What a hard lesson she learned. What a pretty girl she was, too.

This is so incredibly sad .....especially something so avoidable and preventable.

Please, everyone reading this don't let Mitzi die in vain. If your dog is overweight or if you have a spouse - or a you - who can't help themselves from sneaking them sweets, lotsa people food, or too many dog treats, please use this as a wake up call. Maybe they will finally believe its not a joke. They are counting on us

:candle: for Mitzi. I'm as so saddened to hear she didn't pull through. Her story is very similar to a woman I know here who lost her doxie about 18 months ago (just 4 months after losing her husband). :bigrayz: :bigrayz: :bigrayz: :bigrayz: and :hug99: :hug99: :hug99: :hug99: for Mitzi's mom.

How right you are! I am constantly having to watch Pat when he gives my furkids something - he equates food with love, as so many do, and he's always saying "it's just a little" or "it's just one small piece." It all adds up!!! Talk about hard heads! They can be loved to death, as Mitzi was. Don't let that happen to another furkid!

Tell Mitzi's mom not to beat herself up over this - millions of people give their dogs bad food and are just lucky there are no consequences. Mitzi got to be loved by a new mom and in a safe home, and that's what's important :hearts: . She will make different decisions with her next pupper (and I hope she gets another :) ). In hindsight I realized I fed my last dachshund a very unhealthy dog food and I regret that, but it made me more aware and able to make better choices for my girls.

This is so sad. I feel for Mitzi's mom. I do hope in time she will get another dachsie. Everything in life is a learning experience. This was a hard, but valuable lesson for many.

Here is a :candle: for Miss Mitzi
