Anyone tried, or know anyone who has tried, the Honest Kitchen dehydrated raw diet that won the award? It looks pretty good to me....though I still haven't convinced DH that Tasha should have raw. I'm working on it...

I had a good look at their site and it is pricey--especially for feeding 2-4 oz per day.

And I didn't think potatoes were very good for doxies.

for traveling for those who do feed raw....better than going back to kibble.

I got some free because someone donated it to rescue. I think Napoleon was allergic to it - he coughed, I think. And yeah it's pricey! And has a weird consistency and you have to rehydrate it and that takes a while...

Nature's variety makes a dehydrated version for when you travel that is great! It also comes in handy when Mom forgets to take out their frozen. :duh:

But it is twice the price of the regular Raw version of their food, so they don't get it often.

It took me a long time to convince Rafi to make the switch, but now that he has seen the results neither of us would switch the boys back to kibble unless we absolutely had to.

I'm another Nature's Variety Lover ( I don't eat the stuff)
It is so convenient and my 2 just love it!

This is the size of one frozen medallion

This is the bag it comes in (Chicken/Turkey Diet) You get 48 medallions in each bag.

I still feed my 2 kibble in the morning ( Nature's Variety Kibble) 1/4 cup.
In the evening they get (Sophie) 2 medallions and (Casey) 3 medallions with veggies and pumpkin or veggies with 1% fat cottage cheese.

Twice a week I give them raw chicken wings. They still get their Marrow Bones every Sunday too!
