Very cool ...but illegal in CA ..you have to have a real plate on the front and the back ....

No your probably not the only one ..... I have a Scion XB and this guy the works at the corner calls it my hearst...I think mine looks more like a toaster :hula1:

We are only required one license plate (on the back), so we can use decorative ones on the front! Good thing, cause I'm going to get a wheaten wire for my daughter's car! Wish they had pie-bald ones, hubby needs one for "Oksar's" 1/4 ton!

Janet - prices vary here, depending on the year, features, mileage, etc. You can get a 2004 with low mileage for around $16,000. Mine is a "Classic"-the gear shift has a porcelain know! (very pretty).
New they are around $22,000. I have an idea - you fly east, buy your PT cruiser here & drive it home!!! Yay!!!!!!-Road trip!!!!!

I think it being illegal to have a decorative here is all to get your money ....and it works cuz I just bought personalized plates for my car. I fell straight into their trap :rotfl: :rotfl:
