I left the gate open while packing stuff out to the garage and Rikka and Oscar decided to investigate the four foot high weeds in the meadow (I don't own it anymore and I'm NOT MOWING IT!). This is what she came back with:

She was COVERED with these little, round, sticky green seed pods. Do you know how hard it is to get these out of her fur? :mad1: :mad4: :mad3: :mad2:
There will be more pics while I am working on her sorry a$$!
Yikes looks like a big job!
I SO feel for you!!! Here's some patience :bigrayz: :bigrayz: :bigrayz: , and hey, if this means we get more pics of your "sweet angel", I can't complain!

It took an hour and a half and I only got about 2/3 of the job done. We both got tired and I'm sure she was hurting. Bad mom for leaving the gate open.

I used to get those all over my clothes as a kid. We called the beggar lice or hitchhikers.

Personally, I would have just shaved her down! That's what we did with our cocker. She'd probably enjoy being a short haired weiner for the summer!

I didn't really mean to shave her BALD, just to make her like a short haired weiner!!!!(That would be really funny, though. You are so silly!!)

OoOoh, no....I hate those!!! Just when I think I got them all out ,then I find another one. As a groomer I see these often, I use a flea, shedding comb and a slicker brush to get them out...what a pain. POOR baby!!!:hug99:

OW:shocked: Poor thing! Good thing she has such a good Mommy to get it out. I've been lucky with my shaggy puppers not getting anything more serious than a really loose burr in their fur. Nothing at all like the cockleburrs that I used to pull out of my dog Killer's hair when we were young.
