View Full Version : Wet The Bed??

It was late Saturday night and I was up at my ex BF's house in Maryland. He's watching Dolly and Buddy when I go underway. The pups had all been outside to potty around 10 pm and I was getting in the shower at around midnight. I take Austin into the bathroom with me to make sure he doesn't mark anything while I'm not watching him and get ready for bed. Dolly is in bed when I get there and I think nothing of it. Climb into the bed, it's a HUGE king size so there's plenty of room for all dogs and the 2 of us to sleep without being crowded. I fall asleep and am awakened by a question I'd rather not hear at 1AM. "Why is the bed wet?" Dolly had peed on the bed and then curled up on the pillows like nothing was wrong!! She'd wet a spot that I didn't touch when I sleep. She's only bad when I'm there with her Daddy. No accidents when she's there with just him and the other dogs, and no accidents at my house with just me and the other dogs. I say it's a schedule change thing, but wonder if it could be something more.
My ex BF (her daddy) and I are on very good terms, just not a couple any more. We both adore her, but I gotta wonder what the heck is up with the pottying on the bed thing.

Chloe just did that recently too! I crated her since then.I gave her another chance to gain my trust on bed and she did it again twice this time.Well back to the old crate again.I also have kingsize with plenty of room for all of us but this is rediculous!I jumped right into the wetness:mad: I can't explain it either.

I don't know except that maybe she is confused about you and hoodad being in the same place at the same time? Maybe others will have more insight for you..sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Arrgggg - Have no clue

Other than a possible UTI, I would agree with you Dolly doesn't like her routine changed. Only suggestion I would have is to make sure she goes outside and urinates before you go to bed. Good luck!

Mine have done this in the past for no apparant reason. They will be fine for months and then out of the blue wet the bed. They sleep in their kennel now. Weenie also chews blankets so I really can't have them in bed with me. They get to sleep in the big bed on special occasions, like last night when I got home. I hadn't seen them since thursday morning so we all snuggled up and went to sleep. I will also let them in the bed if one is sick and I want to keep an eye on them. Sorry, I don't have any advice but I am sorry for your soggy night.

Dolly is normally so communicative, telling me whenever something catches her whim. This time, she was sleepy and just put herself to bed.
I never was on the soggy spot :) She went where Daddy's spot is, bless her heart. I just cleaned it up and her Dad woke me up when the sheets were dry. (Why he doesn't have more than one set, I'll never know.)
I think it's the upset in her routine that did it. When I came to pick her up in December, she hadn't pottied in the house at all, until I got there around 2 pm and was getting her ready to go outside. So excited that she peed.
