If you saw my other post about the kibble, I am happy to report we are on a roll with EVO.

I feed the boy 2x a day. 1/4 cup kibble each meal. In the morning they would get 1.5 ounces of wet food with the kibble and I hide their supplements in that. In the evening, some sort of veggie or pumpkin or yogurt mixed in. Not sure how much, a heaping real tablespoon, not a measuring spoon.

Anyway, the boys are a good weight, and you can see their waist etc. My question is, since EVO is much richer, since it has no grains, should I cut back on the amount of kibble or no? Just wait it out and see what happens?

They were on Wellness before.

Thanks!

I would probably cut back a bit, as EVO is calorie dense.

When I switched Scooter to EVO, my vet recommended cutting back on the amount that I feed. I was feeding him another premium brand (can't remember the name right now), but she said that since EVO was much richer that he would need less. I cut back from 3/4 c twice a day to 1/2 c. He also gets some wet food (about 1/4 c) with each meal. His weight has stayed that same and he looks really good. It's been about 2 months since I changed him over and he's doing well with the decrease in kibble. :hula1:

Ok, maybe I'll go down to 1/8th of a cup and see what happens? They are always starving anyway. :rotfl:
