I just read and article on MSN Today talking about how to get dates at the dog park! I hope this doesn't mean that there are going to be a lot of people getting dogs in hopes that they will get them more dates! Then they'll get rid of them if they don't. Just what we need! :mad1: I really hate it when things like that come out in the news and on the internet. You just know there are a bunch of people who really have no idea what pet ownership is about who will decided "Hmmmm. I'll get a cute little puppy and go to the dog park and see if I can pick up cute guys/girls. :mad3:

Patrice, I totally agree with you! Now that we have dog parks nearby, we see people trying to get dates with pups all the time. They either don't last very long and don't return, or else they return with a committed "dog focus."

Can't people just exercise their neighbor's dog instead of getting a puppy?

Well, on the other hand, if you already have a dog and hope to meet someone at the dog park, at least you'll know that you both like dogs.

I think the point is, Kerie, that they might not. Articles like this encourage some people to get a pet just to attract the opposite sex. Sort of "Dog Park Predators" which I think is really sad for the pets. :sosad: and for the real pet people who are the victims of these predators.
