HRH is in fine shape- here she is with her pink bandage and the other pic is her BIG brother Trigger (he's an ugly dachshund but very sweet and smart) standing guard over HRH...

She is doing zoomies, eating like a piglet, and demanding belly rubs. It's awesome... what a reslilient little girl. AND she has not voiced any pain when I pick her up to go potty since the first day I brought her home from Dr Chuck's.

i am thrilled. We got back for a checkup Tuesday then the next Tuesday stitches come out of my little football.

Thanks everyone for caring- the support here on the DLC is amazing, and I only hope I can return the favor when one of you has trauma... no, wait.. I hope you guys don't HAVE any trauma.

This dog acts like there is not a thing wrong with her. I was expecting to still have to be super careful of her tummy and be feeding her soft food here almost 1 week post op... NOT. She is doing zoomies in the house, trying to climb into the bed as I type, and generally the picture of health. (except when you flip her over and look at her incision)..

No infection or anything- Dr Chuck did a good job and I told him I am thinking about getting him to make me a quilt since he is such a good seamstress. :rotfl:

Am continuing meds of course, even the Rimadyl since I asked on Friday and Dr Chuck says it has anti inflamatory properties and keep giving it.

Happy happy joy joy. Renee was right- she is even better now. (I love that woman) and I am so glad. AND THE BREAF! OMG it is fabulous.

Bite your tongue woman. !
I have a frisky puppy in a ten year old body- can't wait to see what the little toot will do next!

However in all seriousness I know there are some folks who simply cannot afford or manage to keep their puppers when they get a little frosty and their health care gets a little more spensive. In addition to the expense, watching a loved one age and get sick or infirm is too hard emotionally for some folks to bear.
You are an :angel7: for providing these old Grande Dames (and dudes) with a place to live out their golden years in bliss...
