OK this is your last chance to turn away. DO NOT scroll down unles syou can take it... this breaks my heart but HRH does not seem to mind a bit. Her belly did not LOOK bad before, but the stuff inside her must have been uncomfortable.

Here goes.

The red is not blood, just the stuff Dr Chuck used to keep it from getting infected during surgery... and some bruising.

Truthfully, it looks very good. The dye and bruising will fade shortly and over time the scare its self will also deminish.

Just think about how much better HRH feels. Such a lucky girl.

You must have nearly fainted the first time you saw HRH's belly. :hug99:

I'm glad she's well enough to pose for us! Sweet baby, give her some kisses from me.

Aww, poor Duchie. Ouch! I know my knee looked awful 3 days after surgery once they let me see it. Swelling and bruising and all will fade, and she'll feel much better without all that crap in her!!! :bigrayz: :bigrayz: :bigrayz: :bigrayz: :bigrayz: for HRH and a :bighug: for her wonderful mama!

Okay, that made MY stomach hurt :(. But I know it bothers Mom more than it bothers the little girl. Give her a kiss from me and my girls anyway. :muchlove:

Poor Duchie! I'm sure that HRH is recovering nicely with all the TLC she's been getting from you. Has she been demanding filet mignon for dinner? ;) After all she's been through HRH probably feels she deserves it! After all she is HRH! :hula:

good point Patrice. She *might* actually be getting some extra TLC and a few extra treats. She is being soooo good about not pottying in the house and taking her meds....

Thanks to all for your continued support.

:bighug: You are such a brave and good mommie!! :heart14:

It's just as long as you said it was, but after seeing it I want to come over and sleep on the floor with her too! I'm glad they got all that gunk out of her, but sorry she had to go through such a massive operation.

Her stitches do look like they are healing nicely. :cheer2: (I covered Pokey's eyes for modesty.)

But I'm sure she does already feel better without all the "stuff" inside her.

On a side note Ruby has a scar just about that size too. The vet and I think it might be a c-section scar but we can't be sure if she was spayed too so we are waiting to see if she comes into heat soon. I'll have to get a photo of it so Duchie can compare notes with her. :hearts:
