Well, it's a much better decision than banning the breed. It doesn't quite seem fair, though, that a pit bull household can get the coupon and use it for a non-pit bull breed while non-pit bull households aren't even eligible.

A step in the right direction, though!!

Well it' better than nothing at all!They are considered killer dogs!They should make it available to all breeds though.

Why not spaying as well? And its odd to make it breed specific, but I can see the point if 1/3 of the shelter dogs have some pitt in them.

I''d be happy to see MANDATORY spay/neutering for all pitbull and pitbull mixes. They are filling the shelters and animal control down here....and my neighbors should not be allowed to own them....since they apparently don't have a clue.
