Today is December 3. It was 88 degrees in Dallas today!! A record! But I'll take it ANYTIME - this is why I love living here!

I decided I had to get outside today instead of just watching VH1. Dax can't really go on walks so going to the lake was out. So I decided to go buy some flowers and repopulate our pots, so the dogs and I could all hang out outside. I have never done any gardening whatsoever so I hope that at least some of my plants live!!

I put carnations (my birthday month flower) on the front porch.

This is an Icelandic Poppy surrounded by dianthus. These are in two pots on the deck.

I put violas and pansies in a couple boxes.

This is something called Gaura I think...

And last but not least, this is called Blue Diamonds.

Then I fed our feral cats and took a couple pics. This is Callie...

We finally got a trap so we can get them altered...we are getting them comfortable with it before we put them through the trauma!

And of course that is one of our other cats, Blue, waiting to eat behind the trap.

Then the boys got some frozen sardines! I put them up on the bench to thaw...

Mom, stop taunting me and give up the fish already!

88° NICE!! We are :freezing: here. I can't even tell you how jealous I am! You did a wonderful job on planting :appl: For me that is one of the best things about spring, going a buying plants and watching them grow. I guess I need to move to a nice warm climate - so I can plant in December!!

I too love that last picture of 'Po and any Dax pics are wonderful...he is an amazing little bundle of love. :heartsign

All your pictures are great; really enjoyed them!

I really like your carnations - I have always loved those. Husband is in charge of plant care around here (I am in charge of dog care :D ). But when we re-landscape the yard, I think I will put some flowers in.:flower:

It is going to be 77 here today, then low 70s next week.:island: :sunny1: :dolphin:

You are taunting us northerners, Kim and Courtney! We're not even going to break freezing today and poor Tasha will miss out on her park trip as its slushy and snowing. :freezing:

Well done on the plants. I totally have a black thumb. I could kill a cactus! Gorgeous flowers and so nice to see such colors in the winter.
