Our Trip Part VI - San Antonio River Texas (VPH)

Zandra, Brooke and I drove down to San Antonio to do some tourist stuff. We started out cruising the San Antonio river where it runs through canals in downtown San Antonio.

The canal is completed surrounded by shops, hotels and restaurants.

You went from Austin to SA, you were less then a mile from my house when you were on IH35 then. I love the riverwalk...sadly my husband works downtown and hates the tourist stuff...so we usually just go at Christmas. Tell me you ladies did do Rivercenter mall and the Cats, Cats, Cats store (part of mall but you get there from outside the small ally way by the Alamo) they have some nice Dachshund stuff every time I go there.

Yes, just the walking part of the river tour with the shops, the Mall is the glass windows behind you in the first photo...but it does not look like that on street level by Alamo.

I'm about 30 miles north of downtown SA, kind of in the country...you'd see cows and horses when you passed our exit, my little bit of quite out here, but close enough to the cities when I need it.
