Good bye, Sweet Bogart, Bobo, Boogie Woogie Boy, Woogs, Bobosan and Bobolicious.

I got Bogart in September of 1992. He was an early birthday present and 12 weeks old when I got him. He grew up to be a beautiful and loving boy.

He was my constant companion, even sleeping on the floor in my sewing room when I was working on an entry for a contest. I used to call him my Sewing Buddy.

His registered name was Mr. Bogart and he lived up to it. One of my friends always said he was a true Southern gentleman and she always expected him to be wearing a white linen suit and a cane.

We had almost 16 wonderful years together with a lot of ups and downs, but my Bobo was always there with me. He put up with me doing silly things like putting Christmas bows on his head.

And he enjoyed having the occasional beer with his dad.

He demanded a stroller when he had back problems so that he could be in the same place as I was even though he was on crate rest.

Bogart loved to lay in the sun. Sometimes he’d even slowly lay down and roll over on his back as the sun warmed him. We used to call it “meltdown”.

I miss you so, little man. Here’s looking at you, kid.
