We are back. He's lost a half pound since Saturday but he remains hydrated. The vet gave me the Hill's A/D, so we'll see how that works. He said the fluid in his chest sounds like it's breaking up. They'll call me tomorrow to check in, but He also wants me to call and speak to him on Wednesday.

Jill, try satin balls. It sounds not very yummy, but my crew never turned them down. I fed Sofie that when she was sick.

Well, he's pretty much the same. He did take a few bites of the food, but nothing to write home about. I think I'll take a shot with those satin balls that were suggested. I'll try anything. Nothing was eaten this morning by him. Poor bubba. He's being quite the stinker.

You might try force feeding with a syringe. You can do this with either a syringe or turkey baster. Mix the A/D with water and then use the syringe to "force feed". This might help him get started.

I had to do that with Bumper once, only I used baby food (turkey, beef, etc). Good idea!

I did this, at the vet's recommendation, with Jimmy when he refused to eat. Worked great and was quite easy since the A/D is already quite a watery food. Good luck.

It works great for sick dogs that are not eating.
Its kinda like doggie Ensure, they get all the nutrients they need.
