Please light a candle

One of our fosters, Connor, has gone to the bridge today. He was attacked by a neighborhood stray while staying at his foster mom's house. Late last week, as his foster mom was walking out of the door, he ran right out ahead of her. The large stray ran onto the carport, where he was, and attacked him.

He had a punctured lung and broken ribs. Everything was done medically that could have been done, but he was already very depressed after his family dumped him in the pound. He wasn't eating very well before the incident and he completely stopped eating and drinking after it happened. Please light a candle for this precious little boy. He died in the loving arms of his foster mom who mourns him as one of her own.:sosad:

:sad1: I wish I could've helped him forget the horrid way his former humans treated him so callously.
Please let his foster mom know that he is sorry to have brought her sadness, and that the other dog did what was fated to happen. He really wanted to leave this plane, his heart broken beyond repair, at least that's what he felt.

Thank you everyone. It has been especially hard on his foster mom. He is the third foster she's lost in the last 6 months. The first was a puppy with calcified lungs, the second was the puppy in Gretchen's litter and now this little guy.

Thank you for that, Andrea- she'll appreciate knowing that.
