By the grace of somebody up there, Suzanne (barn owner) decided to take pictures of Alex and me and Dax last Saturday morning when we went to the barn. There are truly no words to say how grateful I am to have these. :hearts::hearts:

Dax and Alex really liked each other (Dax has a fondness for small furry things...) In the first pic, he came over to see her, and she was ok, except that she couldn't really see him, and got a bit worried. So she gave a couple of little air snaps and as you can see in the second pic, he backed off...a bit! :rolleyes:

It was Jane's 50th birthday yesterday, and I had a potluck for her in the afternoon. It was also 1 week since Alex went, and I admit I had a really hard time seeing people sitting on the couch where she crossed. At 6:00, which was exactly the time, I looked at Laura and she looked at me, and we both welled up. It was a bit tough...she's having a hard time about her going too. This afternoon I'm leaving on a trip for work (back on Friday) and I think it'll be good to get away from here for a while. I'm doing pretty good overall, but I miss her!!! :(

I think going on a business trip will be good. Good to get away and be busy. Miss Alex wouldn't want you to be sad. She was worried about you being sad before she left. She'll be glad that you have some distractions. :hug99: :hug99: :hug99:

What a beautiful tribute! I guess I sensed something as I took several of Stinker the day before I took her to the vet. Am sooo glad I did. She was a gorgeous lady!!
