We went to the DROH Halloweener party this afternoon. It was really a lot of fun with tons of dachshunds, a great silent auction and Cindy's usual great food. Yum!

Here are some of the costume pics.

Cowboy and Butterfly

This is a bit hard to see. One dog was dressed in a tropical outfit of a Hawaiian shirt complete with parrot and sunglasses ala Jimmy Buffet and the other was a pirate.

People and dogs hangin' out.

And one of the winners in the costume contest.

And Cash who wouldn't look at the camera.

And this is one of the items I won at the silent auction. It's a signed print by Jim Tweedy.

Well, they gave a bunch of specialty prizes and we got first place in the Group category. They are a group. It was a lot of fun. We have an  who donates heavily to DROH and has the Halloweener at her beautiful house every year. She does all the food (and it's great) and does a great silent auction. We had to keep Scooter away from the pool though. I was afraid he'd decide to take a 'dip'

Sort of. I bought regular hats and made bigger brims for them. Then I added the feathers and hat bands and pinned the side up. I think they look very dashing in them. :hearts: :hearts:

You are living the dream.

Well, it may be my dream, but I don't think it was their dream. Trying to keep 3 hats on 3 dogs for any length of time was almost impossible. They hated those hats. :mad3:
