This is really hard for me to type. Harry passed away this morning. He was having some difficulties last night, his heart was beating really fast. I stayed up with him throughout the night. He passed away in his sleep around 6am.

I have had Harry since I was a little girl. He would have been 13 in July. He had a very serious heart murmur when he was younger .The vets didn't think he would live to the age of 2. He sure did prove them wrong!! It hasn't quite hit me yet that hes gone. I don't even remember life without him (We were 7 when I got him).

I can't seem to make myself look at his pictures...So later on when I am feeling better I will post a memorial thread with pictures of my sweet baby boy!

Hes at the crematorium right now. I am wearing his I.D tag as a necklace.

I miss my boy so much.

You are all so wonderful! Thanks for the support!! It hit me really hard last night when I was gathering my gang for bed and Harry wasn't anywhere around. And Harry liked to drop his fetch items in the pond, and bark at them. I never hated silence as much as now. I want to hear him barking.

I so know what you mean by missing a bark. Others might think with a herd of critters like we have, you don't miss it as much. You do. Never is a choir so off key when a member of the group has gone on to the bridge. The empty bed, the special little "thing" they used to do that made them stand out in the group makes their absence more noticed. Yes your heart will heal with time, but there will forever be a softened spot for any dog that resembles him in looks or barks even little bit like him. Remember him with joy, and his life will never have been lived in vain.

I am so very sorry. Harry is now in a place of pure love, where so many of our furkin have gone before, with a strong heart and having a wonderful time! Please accept my deepest condolences.
