On the week ends, when I need to leave for a couple hours to run errands, I have been leaving Toby out. He has been a really good boy, but he loves shoes, slippers, flip flops. I left a pair by the back door and came home and they weren't there - they were just in another room - perfectly intact.

As soon as I come home, Toby grabs one and runs to the end of the hall (where he normally sits and destroys stuffies) and starts tearing my flip flop apart !!! He just gets sooooo excited when I get home, he can't contain himself

The reason why this is NOT in bad dog:
1. They cost $3 from Big Lots, and I have worn them for about 2 months.
2. I figure a buck, fifty for a chew toy is pretty cheap !!!! I saved the other one and will let him destroy that another time. AND he didn't eat any of it...normally he eats some of the stuffie !!!!

Flip Flop, I getting you...

That is so funny! Miller does that same thing when he gets excited. At meal times, he grabs something and runs in the living room where he proceeds to pull it apart while I'm getting the food ready. :wtf2:

:hearts: I love that last picture

:cheer3: Go Toby, you show that flip flop who's the boss!

I fear a similar fate is in store for my shoes. Willow will nom them if I leave them out, so I'm super good about leaving them in the closet and not by the back door. However, with her on crate rest, they are safe (Cocoa isn't a chewer). I've been leaving them by the back door again. Who wants to bet that the moment Willow is off crate rest, she somehow manages to get a shoe of mine?

Yep, with doxies, give them an inch and they take a mile. I've lost many flip flops and awesome sandals to the jaws of those dogs. I've got a book case in my bedroom closet now that keeps the shoes safe.
