Sweet Pete RIP

Came home from church to find Pete on the floor in the door going to the kitchen. There was blood all over the floor the walls my washer and dryer yet he had no wounds. Hershey's ear was ripped so think the blood is his.
Oscar was standing guard over him and Hershey was teeth bared growling trying to get to him so I think Pete died Hershey tried to mother him (Pete was soaking wet as if he'd been bathed and that's Hershey's thing) - think Hersh & OScar got into it trng to each take care of Pete.
We got many more years wiht him than we should have - he was hit by a car over 10 yrs ago and was miraculously pulled through. He was my ugly sweet grumbly blind teeth fallin out Pete and I'm crushed. We got him right after Jamie and I got married - he weighed 9 pounces at his first vet appointment.
I pray you didn't suffer little man and I'm so sorry I wasn't here for you. I know Stinker was at the bridge to meet you. I love you..
