Buda Headcount

Ok folks, as Buda is fast approaching us, I'm looking to get a head count of who all will be there. Gotta know how many brownie and jello shots to make :D. Please respond to the poll above, and comment if you want. As it gets a little closer, I'm sure we will post who is bringing what (ex-pens, coolers, chairs, etc.) Also, if we want to do Saturday night pizza night at my house as we have done the past 3 years, everyone is welcome!:cheer3:

P.S.-If you post a reply, please indicate the number of people coming and how many weens :)

Humans: 3 (John, me, my mom)

Weens: 9 (my 3 + 1 foster, my mom's 3, and our friend's 2 that we will be dog sitting)

I hate that I won't be able to make it this year. Funds are tight, and Holly will be into the first weekof her heartworm treatment - I need to be sure we have peace and quiet for that...... I WILL be there next year, and plan to have a booth for the Sanctuary....so will be lining up aunties to watch over kids :D

We talked about this yesterday, and unless we win the big lottery or powerball, we won't be there this year or next. We have to make a trip to St. Louis in Oct 2010 and 2011 and Aug 2011. So....not possible. I really wanted to come. :sosad:

I also know that Southwind is planning on going. She has not been on the board all the time as she's been not that well, but I'm sure she would like to be counted as being there. I know she's excited about going, unless she has to go get Mona from Jeff at that very weekend. I am not sure Jeff has replied to her adoption application yet.

We are thinking of running up for the day. How long does it take to get from the Houston area? Google says about 3 hours from Pearland, but how bad is the traffic on race days?

Hate life. Roof has to be redone to the tune of $4,000+. Discovered MAJOR problems that have to be addressed. No Buda for me:(

I'm on the NW side of Houston and I think it takes us about 2+ hours to get there so 3 from Pearland is probably about right. We got out 290 and since Buda is south of Austin if we've started going down thru Bastrop. It's a much nicer drive with no traffic. If you're coming out I-10 and then going north on 71 you shouldn't have much traffic once you're out of Houston. The only traffic we hit is in Houston and in Austin. Other than that, it's usually not bad.
