Sweet, Cranky Jasper

I came home in time to catch his last breaths. He did not have a good end. I hope he has some peace at The Bridge.

He was my sweet old Staffie. Had to be about a hundred years old. I hope he is new again.

Truly sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose them, if the end is difficult or easy, sudden or drawn out. Our lives without them is a puzzle without a piece, a frame without a photo. Time heals the wound, and a paw shaped scar is forever on our hearts and soul, and we love again, foolishly and easily, knowing that again it will be broken. That is the price we must pay for being allowed to love a heart devoid of deception, and brimming with acceptance of us with all our flaws.

He's going to be welcomed by the ones you've loved and lost, and be made whole and happy.
