CJ was a goofy, lovable. present opening, Cheerio eating black lab who was loved my Irene(who was a high school teacher of mine)and her hubby, Neil. (Yes, I am one of those who keep in contact with a few choice teachers~we have "reunion lunches" every few months) He was 9 years old when he passed away yesterday....in the backseat of the car as Irene gave him oxygen as they rushed him to the emergency vet.

Irene is crushed. And blaming herself. They brought him to the vet yesterday afternoon(they live in a small, rural town) and the vet there said his body was shutting down and had no idea why. They should bring him to the "big city vet" They were on their way there when he took his last breath, in Irene's arms.

Please keep them in your thoughts.
