NDR: Patty~a diamondback tarpin

Pippit and I met Patty last summer. Patty was at the National Marine Life Center on Cape Cod. She was found on St. Patty's Day~almost frozen. She'd been doing well and took a turn for the worse about a month ago. I just learned that she passed away on Monday night.

She was a sweet little thing. Here she is basking in the sun(complete
with sunscreen on her shell)

Awww, I'm so sorry, Karen. I love turtles and tortoises, they're sweet. R.I.P. Patty, go join our pups at the Bridge and say hello to them for us!

We have Mojave Max, a desert turtle (on the medium size) that hybernates during the winter in her hole at the Red Rock Conservation Area (built specially for him) and comes out when the weather gets better. I love him!!
