Ugly Betty died today.

My oldest girl Betty died this morning. We got her about 4 years ago when I was conned by another rescuer( she told me that she was a 2 year old red dachshund). I got the the vet that day to find a 12+ year old lady, that the staff named Ugly Betty. She had tumors, heartworms, and a bad chest infection. She was so very sick, we came close to losing her a few times, but she always pulled through. This morning I went to wake her up and found her unresponsive. I took her in first thing and Dr. Fred told me she appeared to have had a stroke, so I let her go. She was a cranky old girl, but I will miss her.

Everything happened this so fast this morning and then I had to go to work...so it didnt really hit me until I went to make them dinner tonight and I made one to many. I really will miss her. She was not ugly, just an old lady. To me they are cuter then puppies.
