Last year I volunteered to start a Memorial Tree to be put up in my home for the month of December in remembrance of those we have lost.
I'm starting to plan this out because this tree isn't going to be a typical Christmas tree.
Lisa and Rafi very generously donated a ton of small 2x3 inch picture frame ornaments that I will use. They are just a tad heavy, and store bought trees of a size that would make sense are just not strong enough. This is okay, and you'll see why when you see what I have in mind.
I need your help:
If you have lost a companion (animals only, please (sorry) ) since the beginning of the DLC in November of 2005, send me a PM with their name and a picture that can be cropped to about 2x2 inches. I'll do the cropping, just make sure their face will fit those dimensions.
This tree is intended to pay tribute to those we've lost, to put them in a single location, and will of course be done with the utmost respect. With what I have in mind, the tree can be expanded on from year to year and can be moved to various locations if someone else would like to host it for a year. Participation is up to each individual, I will not put your loved one on the tree without your permission. I do urge you to participate as these friends may be gone, but they are not forgotten.
