For Aurora. Michael is on a new job, is working hard but can't afford the full vet cost even with the discount we get. Called Humane Society, they aren't even taking appointments anymore with all the Katrina babies they took in. She really needs to be spayed but I just can't afford to get her AND Sam done at the same time. Especially after Shadow's spay and Hersheybar's toe fiasco. Anyone know of any other programs for folks on limited funds??

Try SPAY USA I think their phone # is 1-800-SPAY. There are nationwide group. I don't know exactly how they work, but they may be able to help you. Here's the website:

SPAY USA (www.spayusa.org)

Have you checked out this website? You can search by area code or state. Maybe there is another place within a reasonable distance.

The Manchester Clinic down here does low cost neuter and spay...but we are several hours from the Georgia border so its probably a little farther than you want to go. (and an overnight stay would outweigh the savings!)

SPAY USA sounds like a good one to try, here's a couple more.
Are you in Fulton county? http://www.fultonanimalservices.com/fixem.htm
OR http://www.spotsociety.org/
We have local rescues besides the shelter that will help pay for spay/neuters, you might check around to see if any are in your town.
Good luck! :crossfin:

I looked hard for some help here when it was time to get Charlie neutered. Turns out there is no low-cost assistance anywhere. The best I could find was a $10.00 coupon.

Anyway, no help here, but I'm wishing you lots of luck! :bigrayz: :bigrayz:

to see if you can set up a payment plan for her? I know my vet will do that for his regulars.
