Oh Bob. I would say I'm sorry, but I don't think you mind being squished by Laika. Silly cat. :rotfl:

I have heard about Laika's adventures with Bob the cat, that is so funny. Both seem to enjoy their inter-species love affair :)

As always the bonus pictures of Owen and Salsa are enjoyed. :hearts:

At least she cleaned his ears. Dinner would have been nice, but I guess if you're Bob you have to take what you can get.

Those pics are fantastic! Your bedroom is possibly the cheeriest bedroom I've ever seen. Happy Orange! I :hearts: it!

I'm guessing you made Owey's little bed/crate pad - it is really cute. My stepmom has made me a few of those fleece blankets with the ties... I need to figure out how to make them. In the past I was worried the girls wouldn't be able to resist the temptation of the ties, but they've actually matured. Somewhat.

SOMEBODY has to love Bob....
He doesn't mind that. He loves Laika, mostly. Sometimes she gets a bit rough with him if he's being particularly annoying. He stares at the dogs or paces in circles around them and that annoys her so she squishes him and sometimes he doesn't want to be squished. He bites her sometimes. but usually that's cuz she's having a humpfest.
I didn't make that bed Owen is on. It's a snuggle bag..we won it last year from the Pet Postcard Project. I got to pick the material :)
Orange IS a happy color, isn't it?

These are all GREAT pics! I remember when you were saying Bob would just stay in the basement alone. Looks like he sure has acclimated himself into a spot in the 'herd'.

I think the pics are so sweet... and then... there's that adorable bug. :love98:

Oh gosh Bob has always been a part of the herd. I WISH he would stay in the basement sometimes. He acclimated soooo fast to the new house it truly amazed me. He is 15 years old, pretty much blind, and very weird mentally. The vets who have seen him think his mother prob. had a virus that affected her kitten's brains. Can't remember what itis but it happens. I found him walking down the middle of the road when we lived in Pontiac. Prob. about 12-14 weeks old. Totally oblivious to the fact he was in the road. But it took me awhile to realize he can't see. He CAN see a little I know but it's quite obvious that he's not quite right. He walks into sides of doorways and things. I think he sees light and dark. But for him to get moved here and be able to go downstairs to use his litter box and eat is really great. I thought it was going to be a big hassle but he just did it right away. I'll try to remember that and appreciate Bob when he's walking around me in circles, nails clicking (his nails don't retract) staring at the ceiling, over and over and over and over...

I'm still not 100% sure I trust these wienerdogs around little fleece ties :conf4:

I don't trust mine. They've pulled the fringe off a couple pillows in the past and I think that the fleece edging would look pretty much like more fringe to them

Mine don't bother the fringes but they aren't big destructo dogs. Laika used to be but not since she grew up. She was a WOOD eater.

Scooter did both. He ate the trim on the french doors and chewed my laptop cord and my sewing machine cord. He also ate every rug in my house except the living room rugs and that's only because he wasn't allowed in there much. :rotfl:

Well, after all, it IS her job to groom kitty every morning! She takes her duties seriously! LOL! How color-coordinated Owen & Miss Salsa are!! Very cute!

Alex. In my dad's house, the nice teak bedroom door in the room we lived in has a honking huge hole in it. Not a popular move :rotfl:

Those pics are hilarious, Amy!!! Love takes many forms :rotfl:. And the ones of Owen and da Bug are awesome :hearts::hearts: Love your bedroom...honestly, I think you should be on one of those decorating shows!!!!! :hug99:

Great Pics! Poor Bob, LOL.

Amy, how do you keep the dogs from going to the basement but Bob can still get down there? We have a gate thats about 24 inchs high so the cats can jump over it and the dogs cant, but its getting annoying for us even to have to step over it to get down there.

Mine have never attempted the basement stairs. Even Laika won't attempt it..she's afraid of stairs in general, even the carpeted ones to upstairs. But none of them seem interested although they know the cat food and litter box is down there. I do shut the door when I'm not home and Bob stayes either up or down, wherever he happens to be. So I lucked out, because Bob can't jump over a gate. The nly think I would be able to do was the same thing we did when his stuff was in the garage-make a kitty door that the dogs can't fit through. well...Salsa could fit through anything I suppose but she won't. But my brother put in these beautiful doors and I think he'd kill me if I put a hole in it.
At our OTHER other house (In Lapeer) we had just a hole cut in the door for the cats to go into the basement but it wasn't a basement we used much (strangely, there were TWO seperate basements in that house!).
They do make walk-through baby gates-that's what I would get if mine started wanting to use the stairs.
