It's been a full week since Gunner's surgery. He was released from K-State 72 hours after he was first seen by their vets and 48 hours after his surgery. He started really showing improvement with his walking on Weds and he started to act more like his old self. Weds evening/Thursday morning he finally pooped!!! :cheer3: Thursday his walking really improved and he decided that he didn't need to wait to be picked up and tries to take off by himself.

I'm taking video and photos of him tonight so everyone can see how he's doing. I can't believe how fast he's improving (even though I knew he would walk again) and can't wait to see him wag his tail again. Its getting close as he no longer has it tightly tucked under him.

Thats awesome news...When Gunner was into his 3th or 4th week, and we still used the sling on him, he took off on me and ran towards the back gate when he heard a dog in the alley...I let the sling go cause I couldn't keep up with him and was afraid I would hurt him...after that we also used a leash and the sling...

What wonderful news! He must be a strong boy to be doing so well. Can't wait to see the pictures!
*****Shonda--Please send me a pm with your full name and address. The chocolate auction has brought $90 toward Gunner's surgery bill. I'll take a look at the post to see if it's more.
