I've been looking at an auction for 5" spiral bullys on ebay, as an alternative to flossies--or to alternate with flossies, as Tasha loves them so. These are about 1/2 the price, and look like a good size..just curious if anyone had tried them.

Bailey loves them!! I thought they would last longer than the straight ones...I was wrong. :sosad:

I've tried them. Bella did okay with them. The only thing I didn't like is that she chomped it down in no time. :faint:

About how long does it take Bella or Bailey to finish one? Tasha normally takes about 15 min on a flossie and 20-60 min on a bully, depending on the length and thickness.

I have seen her down one in 5-10 minutes. The bully sticks last hours depending on the size/thickness. They end up being more of a treat then a "chewy."

My two go insane for the spiral bully sticks. But, the problem here too is that they finish them too quickly, and boy, they're expensive!
Something I've found they can't tear through too quickly are pig skin twists, or rolls, like this:

Weenie and Cricket love any form of bully sticks. They eat the straight ones in about 10 minutes and the spirals in 5. They have really strong chewers. They also love the pig skin twists and it used to take them forever to eat one. Days at least. They've been getting those since they were puppies though so they have it down to a science and can eat one in about 20 minutes. They go right for the middles too, it's funny. I wish I could find a long lasting treat but so far the only thing I've found is hooves and they smell so bad!:yuck:

Tasha is not interested in the pig skin rolls--my princess doesn't like anything too long or too thick (Janet, no dirty thoughts here). She's more cow, chicken, fish centered, pork just doesn't get her as much--except when DH and have prosciutto.....

I'll have to try the spiral bully's then. They're just over 50 cents each on ebay, which is much better than $1.29 on up for bulk flossies!

 I have no idea what you are talking about! :rotfl:

I just ordered some Flossies from Sitstay.com
I thought I would try my 2 on them. Casey loves his bully sticks, Sophie couldn't care less about them. What does THAT say about my BOY?!

Tasha loves them, but they only last about 5 min--very thin!
