My Meetup Group in the Post!

Last night I went to check my email before I went to bed and I had 17 emails from Meetup.com telling me that I had 17 new members! I couldn't believe it, but it was true. I sent out my usual "Welcome" email and asked them to let me know how they found the group.

One of them emailed back today and said the group was mentioned in the Sunday edition of the Washington Post! :holyshp: The Sunday paper was in my car so I went out to get it, and sure enough there is an article about the popularity of small dogs, and another article about Meetup groups, which referenced the Northern Virginia Dachshund Meetup Group.

I have got to figure out a way to get a meet up going here. Everywhere you look lately there's a weinie! Maybe if I contacted some local vets?!

You can start a Meetup group via the meetup website. If you're the organizer you can print up flyers and business cards and all kinds of promotional stuff. It's fun!
