Tasha hadn't been finishing her flossies for a few weeks, and then gets all weird and guards them. So we decided, both for her sake and to save money (our new rent is a LOT more, but worth it) that we'd give her 1/2 a flossie a night.

But trying cutting the :bleep: things in half! I've tried scissors, a serrated knife, both are not easy. Anyone have any suggestions?

DO you have boning shears like they use to cut up chicken? That's what we use to cut up the chicken jerky that we get.

I know, I ordered pruning shears off Amazon as I doubt if any of my local stores sell them! :D

:rotfl: :rotfl: I used a hacksaw once to cut a huge marrow bone in half for Heidi and Princess. I didn't think those raw bones could be so slippery!!!
I will never do that again!, Almost cut my arm off

Hubby uses a smal hack saw, pruning shears are kinda big--depending on what kind you get. I do the same to bully stix sometimes.

I got little handheld shears so hopefully they'll be ok.

I think a small hacksaw would probably be better might take forever with trimmers.

Let us know how it works!! Probably depends on the thickness and toughness of the treats. Flossies would be easier than bully sticks, I would guess.

I don't know if Petco has them online but I bought some 3 inch ones there before you might want to check.

Tasha swallows the three inchers too soon Irma. I did buy her the 5" spiral bullys on ebay that I mentioned in another post. Hopefully those won't need to be cut!

The spirals (flossies ) are thinner and go quicker. No need to cut them.

The pruning shears work perfectly--very easy to cut a flossie in two!
