Dachshund Rescue Education Awareness and Mentoring

The Georgia branch of DARE has become DREAM in Georgia! Please join us to celebrate our new group at:

“Fools for Dachshunds” Yappy Hour on April 1st from 5 - 8 at Jabula Dogs in Decatur. See www.jabuladogs.com for directions! Join us for a “yappy hour” to celebrate the official kick off of DREAM- come by and say hello, have a glass of wine and a bite to eat, and be among the first to join DREAM! if you cannot join us at Yappy Hour, you can still support DREAM by going to our website and becoming a member via PayPal!"

Why has DARE of Georgia become DREAM? Our goal is to focus on the dogs of our geographical area- Northern Georgia, while DARE’s focus is primarily in Florida. Last year, DARE/DREAM volunteers and members contributed to the adoptions and rescues of over 300 dachshunds in need. DREAM is an all-donation supported, all volunteer rescue organization for dachshunds and dachshund mixes in Georgia. We provide a home for abandoned, abused or unwanted dachshunds on their way to finding a permanent and loving home. All donations are fully deductible upon receipt of our non-profit status, and directly support the doxies. Specifically, donations are used for purchasing animal and medical supplies, re-homing and funding vetting necessities (dentals, spay/neuters, heartworm treatments, emergency medical situations etc).

We have applied for recognition as a non-profit [501(c)3] organization. All donations will be fully tax-deductible!!

To become a member, simply make a contribution of $35 or more to DREAM. You can make your contribution online by using the PayPal link on our website: www.dreamdachshundrescue.com , or you can mail a check to:

DREAM: c/o Sharon Aden

1738 East Clifton Road, NE

Atlanta, GA 30307

Business members with an annual donation of $100 or more will receive recognition on our website and a link to the businesses website for one year.

As a member, you will receive periodic e-newsletters, advance notice of our events (like the world famous Howl-O-Weenie in October) and of course the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a difference in the life of an animal who truly needs your help.

Please consider joining us, and adding your voice to that of others who care about animals and especially, the “long dogs”.
