I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner! I picked up a twin comforter, cut it in 2 and hemmed the edges. Now I have 2 very nice cuddle blankets that I can put on their oval beds. The poopsies are really enjoying them, they can enjoy being on top or easily burrow beneath them. Different from fleece, that's very limp and not easy to get under. I looked for them last night and all 3 were able to snuggle underneath in one bed. That doesn't happen very often!

A zigzag stitch works nicely, as Georgia, my little helper, shows...

That's one totally comfy dog, IMO. The comforter looks great! Need more pics of the entire thing, please.

Did you fold it over and then stitch it (like a snuggle sack)?

The puppies are obviously loving it. They're all so cute :sillylove:.

No, I didn't stitch it but you could! lol
I thought it would be easier to wash if it wasn't stitched but I can see how they would love that better.

What a great idea! My guys are using several fleece blankets from the after Christmas sales. Reminds me of the flannel quilts my Grandmother use to make for my doxies! Guess they were the only grandchildren she was getting from me.

What a great idea. Thanks for sharing!

I need new bedroom beds (vs. livingroom beds) for the hounds and I could do this easily from the old twin comforter (with Moose and hunting pics on it) I have here! Did you serge the raw edges. It looks like it in the pictures!

I like moose and hunting pics! Seems appropriate for the little wiener hunters and I imagine they will have happy dreams under such a cover. lol Hope you fix that up and post a few photos too.

I did not serge the edges but you saw correctly. That's the edges it had from the store, I did a zig zag stitch where I hemmed it.
