Last night we went for walkies a bit late, 9 pm, and there was Emma again. They were on the other side of the street, but her owner brought her over, and Tasha went right up to Emma. Emma then sat down to scratch--and Tasha tried to sniff her butt since it was at a more convenient level! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Tasha then was more standoffish and went to sit on the other side of the sidewalk. Emma came up to me to be petted, and as I started to pet her, Tasha started barking like crazy. Jealous much? But overall it was a good encounter.

Recently Tasha has been petted by several toddlers and small children. Then last night my landlords adult (50s) son--who reached out to pet her head WHILE I was holding her--and she still let him do it no problem, was petted by his daughter, and her toddler--who kinda smacked Tasha on the head so that was that! But all 4 generations of the family that owns our building have petted her! Tasha prefers the eldest one who is 88!! She loves him!

Jen, it is so great to hear about Tasha's HUGE progress. You and your hubby should take a great big bow. I know it has taken a time, but your commitment to your gorgeous little girl makes me all warm and fuzzy!!!

You go Tasha! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

That's great that she is getting to interact w/all ages and sizes! Toddlers don't seem to know their own strength and have not learned volume control. I used to tell my daughter to whisper to me and instead, she'd go up to my ear and yell what she had to say :rotfl: .

Anyway, glad Tasha is becoming more interactive with everyone.

Interesting how she loves older people !

We think Tasha spent a lot of time with her former owner's mother who was in her 70s and had two doxies of her own. We met this lovely lady when we picked up Tasha as all of T's supplies (crate, toys, food) were at her house. Probably one of the few people who was kind to her.
