I have noticed that both Sam and Scooby now run with back feet in sync instead of separately like the other herd members do. Is this typical of IVDD? They don't really run more like bunny hop with both feet bouncing together. Or are my idiots just " speshul":conf4:

Both of ours run like that. So I wouldn't worry about it. Besides that's exactly how the fastest runners of the animal kingdom run. I think that makes it a more efficient stride?

James does that too. I think it's normal...maybe some arthritic changes?

Angel has always run like that, so I can't say if back issues have any effect. It's very cute :)

Mine run like that all the time. When they slow down, then it's more of a trot. Full speed is in sync...

Amanda's "bunny hop" run was very exaggerated after her IVDD, but then she paced instead of trotted (legs on one side working together vs. opposite legs) before the IVDD so I never knew if it was just that her body worked weird. I think that in full run, it does give them more power that way.

After her April IVDD instance this year, Lili did the bunny hop for about a month and a half, and then she finally started moving her back legs independently. I knew it was IVDD related b/c she hadn't done it before, but it sounds like that's not the case for everyone.
