Wonderful update! We had an appointment at the neurology center for Rusty's 2 week check up saturday. He is staple free now & the Dr was very pleased, more shocked, with his progress. He has motor function & can feel his toes! He can be taken off all meds. 4 weeks more of strict crate rest still needed. At home leg exercises & now we can do aggressive therapy like a water treadmill at a therapy center which were lucky we have down the street. He said in no time, he believes Rusty will be walking

Terrific update! Vets usually look more to the negative so they don't get your hopes up too much. I'm so glad he's progressing so well! :cheer3::cheer3::cheer3:

I'm lucky (if you can ever use that word in the same discussion with IVDD) that Jax bounces back from back surgery so fast. The last time around, that's what clued me in to something still being wrong. He was completely down (slipped disc was way up in his neck). He had surgery on a Monday, I picked him up on Wednesday. He was still completely down on Friday. They redid his CT scan the next Monday, went back in......he was running away from them on Tuesday. This dog is going to be the death of me, but dang we love them don't we
