We were in Otis yesterday. Pippit has a habit of walking off the dock and right into the water. So, I put the x pen up and everyone is fine.....or so I thought.

All of a sudden, the railing tips and so does the own.... And Pippit goes in the water!! He swims under the small space under the dock. And we cannot get to him!! And the he goes under!!!!! Ron and I are both frantically trying to get to him and Ron finally pulls him up. Lifeless. Not breathing!!!

I say he needs CPR and Ron trie while I'm crying and basically freaking out. And then the part if me that knows what to do takes over.

And Pipit comes back. Thank doG!!! Our guardian angels were with us yesterday!! He's fine now.

But please, please, please be sure you know CPR for humans and pets. I do believe having to do the human version every year helped it just kick in. And saved Pippit's life.

OMG that is the scariest thing ever. I'm so very glad that Pippit Jay is OK. Thankful that you knew exactly what to do and that your training kicked in.

Thanks. Good info.
We went to the E-vet to check everything out. All is well.

And I forgot to mention that he DID have his life preserver on...but got caught on one of the beams under the dock.
