Wow, scientists have invented prosthetic spinal nerves. It's a replacement dura, or spinal cord. And it fixed paralysis in rats. Excellent! Imagine what this means for humans and dachshunds in the next decade, or so. Impressive!

I hope they start Doxie testing of this soon. It really can be the breakthrough our little ones need. Hopefully, it can be affordable for the masses. :crossfin:

They original version was not viable, because it caused damage so it could not be used long term. Apparently they have figured out a new way, which can be used longer and are going to do clinical trials on humans soon.

I imagine this could be used on Dachshunds eventually.
