I just noticed that I hadn't updated about Darby for a while. He's doing really well :cheer3::cheer3::cheer3: He's going to have another VOM appt in a couple weeks. I've been slowly transitioning him back to normal activities. He's pretty much back to doing his regular stuff. I'm trying to keep him from jumping (trying being the operative word ). He's doing pretty well about it and is even using the ramp on his own part of the time. But when he gets excited all bets are off and I end up grabbing him so he can't jump a lot. He does seem to be doing well. Better than I am actually :wtf2:

Very good! Now he can enjoy just being a dog with a loving family, since he did not have much time to enjoy that before his problems started.

That is great news! How is he doing with the EIPJ issue?

With having to keep him confined and with me all the time, the EIPJ issues seem to have resolved themselves. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that continues.

Attaboy, Darby, my man. Keep up the good work. And keep mama happy, cuz she wants the world for you. But ya gotta play nice to help out, and do your part, little one. Stay on that ramp. As they say in Get Smart: "This is Chaos, we don't jump here". :)

I"m happy to say that Darby continues to do well. I've been gradually transitioning him back to normal activities. We started going for walks this week. Jumping is still a challenge (the boy loves to jump) but other than that he's being really good. :crossfin::crossfin::crossfin:

I glad to hear that Darby is doing well. How old is he now?

Darby is my new guy that I got last December. He's about 5 (we think).

I still have Cash and he's almost 15 now. I lost Miller last year and am still so sad about it. I don't know if I had Scooter (big dachshund mix) when you were here but I still have him and he's 10 now.

Me, too. Darby is trying to fill his little spotted spot in my life. He'll never be Miller, but he's doing his best. :love98:

He will never be Miller, and nobody will EVER be Bogart. But I think with continued love and acceptance, he will be the very best Darby EVER, and that's all we can ask of anydog.

I was sure nodog would EVER be my beloved Duchess, and I was right. Savannah Jane Hellion is the anti-Duchie, and my heart overflows with love for her every day.
