Mickey goes home!

Last weekend was spent getting Mickey from his foster home in Michigan to his new mom and dad here in Nova Scotia. He's a 3 year old boy, rescued from a hoarder situation by the Michigan Humane Society and surrendered to CDR. Mickey (who's now known as Henry, because his new dad's also Mickey and it was just getting too confusing :)!!) took the flight in stride (even though he flew cargo, which I don't like doing, but we're so far from anywhere there wasn't really any choice!). When he got to this end, he hopped into the car with his new mom, settled down on her lap, and went to sleep! He's settling in great, although the first night was a bit shaky, poor little tyke! He and thier young cat have become best buds, and play and groom each other, and his new hooparents are THRILLED:hearts: :hearts: with him! Another happy CDR ending!!

I sure did!! I've made it part of my adoption handout :) She only has internet access at work though, not at home. She's a vet tech, so only goes on-line very occasionally.

I have to know!

My mom might have seen him if its the same one. (she works for the HS)

I was fortunate enough to get to help Mickey from Toronto pickup, out to the airport. That picture was taken at the airport. On that particlar transport there was about 20 people involved, transporting a number of dogs to various locations. What an amazing job the organizer of that trip did. And of course, it all would not have been possible without Mickey's foster mom, Paula and the new adoptive family too. Plus many, many others too!! Thanks everyone!! :appl: :appl: :appl:
