Raw Feeding and Humping

Ok, this is a little weird (and X-rated). :ashamed:

Auggie's on day 10 or 11 of the raw diet. He's doing well, seems more energetic, loves it, etc. I've noticed that, right after he eats, he acts really strange for about 10 minutes. He goes around the apartment humping every pillow he can get his paws on, and stops occasionally to lick his genitals.

What the HECK? Any ideas?

Ok, I know next to nothing about being on a raw diet.....but could something you're feeding him be giving him that "warm, happy feeling" right after he eats? I get like that with chocolate:rotfl: (J/K) Wish I had more advice.....

I think the :wtf2: is in order. I have no idea. I have 3 boys that I switched to raw food when I got them and never had that occur. :dunno:

Yeah, I don't think it's related to the actual food either. I think he's just feeling frisky. Let's just say I've seen more of Auggie in the past few days than I ever have before, if you know what I mean. (PUT IT AWAY, AUG! :omg: )

Yes, Auggie is fixed (and has been for over four years), and he's almost 6 years old.

I am shaking my head here! You all are too funny! Bella humps her "momma" pup (a stuffed dog) every night, every 10-15 minutes and she's a girl! And to boot she'll give it a nudge with her nose after she's done or tug on its ear! It is hilarious but I don't know why she does it. Why do they do this to us??? :rotfl:

I tryed the medallions for about a month...1 a day as a snack....but it made the girls behavior w/ food distastful....they acted food agressive when eating them and they have NEVER done that.... I tryed them because they were donated....the girls were like wild animals and swallowed them whole....not very lady like :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'm all for top grade kibble and fish oil......

Humping in males and females (when not in heat) is not sexually related. It is a display of dominance...... I don't allow it ....only I can be the dominant one in the house! Cami has tryed to hump a stuffed frog a couple of times and although it's funny:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I take the toy away and tell her no....and then give it back to her.
