Just curious whats it cost for one of these carts?

I think it was about $400. He is taller than both of my boys (way taller than Al, a little taller than Ollie) and about 20-25 lbs. But i am only guessing at weight from picking him up.

I just did a write up for our real estate blog about Snowmobile and put an additional picture in it. if you look back a few entries on the one about the Grand Opening, you can see another picture of Snowmobile precart with someone holding him just for another Snow fix. :)

Right here on today's entry (http://tommastrangelo.blogspot.com/2006/05/snowmobile-in-florida.html)

His back legs were fixed in a stiff, straight position rather than limp.
He had no way to "pivot" with his hips or bend his knees. So he sort of dragged his back legs, but it was more awkward than like a dog who would drag legs that were like spaghetti behind him. I think it was much harder to do.

I put the notice about the humane society meeting, so hopefully a few people out in cyber space will see it and email us to come from wherever.

It might have been shy of $400, but that was about it with shipping, straps, and all that. They tried to make one with small PVC pipes and other materials and it just didn't work.

They custom fit these carts because every dog is a different height/weight combo and every dog is differently abled. Some dogs have front problems, some have back. And some dogs have use of their hips and can work their back feet, just can't hold weight on them so need some of their weight "carried". And some have back feet that are totally lifeless and need the wheels to totally substitute any movement. And then it can't rub or chafe or pinch (or run over their foot!). I even found out they make some aspects of the cart in some cases different for male or femal so they can go to the bathroom without being taken out of it.
