Ack! That's why crazy barking laws are made. I wish we knew about this (law) before moving in! Santa Monica's Barking Law: http://pen.ci.santa-monica.ca.us/services/choc/190.htm

That's too bad for dog and guardian, since the apartment allows dogs I think barking goes along with it. Interesting she hasn't had any complaints before this new person moved in. I wonder, do they have any noise complaint laws for screaming kids?

I think NYC just changed the law so its similar to Santa Monica's. Tasha barks just a few times at each person who passes, not continually. Sounds like the same thing in the neighbor dispute. Some people are just overly sensitive--or as I tend to suspect, off their meds.....

Tell me why they will come out and check out barking dogs, but won't haul off the idiots with the loud stereos booming in the cars that set them off....and park in the drive across the street for hours. Or the screaming neighbors who are yelling at each other and the kids. Or the kids. Or the tvs turned up so you can hear them six houses down?

We were driving past one of the new gated communities, where they were putting up condos....which will sell for up to 3/4 of a million. I'm sorry, but for that money, all the walls will belong exclusively to me, and Taffy can bark until I tell her to shut it off.
