:sosad:

In the past week I grew very attached to Henry. He was a super sweet, nice dog. He got along great here, just a wee bit hyperactive. But he was starting to settle down. I am sad because I hope he knows that we loved him, and that we didn't have him go because we didn't love him or like him or that he was a bad boy. He should be arriving in TN today to go to him new family late this afternoon or early tomorrow. I have already emailed them and told them to take care of my boy and if for some reason he doesn't work out, I'll be on the first plane to TN to pick him up and take him home!

Luckily the woman who picked him up to take him to meet the transport, was very quick about it. There was no time to linger.

Here are a few pics I took the last couple of days he was here:

Jill, wonderful pictures. It is OK to cry. Being part of rescue is hard.

A while back someone asked me if letting go was easy and I said no but I do it so I can help another one. Also, if I ever get to the point, I do not care then it is time to get out.

Great pics, Jill!!! I know when the time comes for me to foster, I'm going to react exactly the same way!!! But as Yolanda says, now you have room for to help the next little one that needs it. Hopefully the people who have Henry will keep in touch! I bet your two are missing him too!!!

:hug99: :hug99: :hug99: for you. I don't think I could foster because I would fall in love with them and never be able to let them go. My house would be full, that's why we have so many cats. Erin would bring them home, and boom:hearts: they were family. Just know that you did a great thing for him, and maybe one day you will get to see him again.

:sosad: Your post and pics brings tears to my eyes. :sad3: I'm sorry and this is exactly why I don't do fostering, I couldn't give them up. Henry was a cutie for sure, I'm glad you told his new guardians that you would be on the next plane to pick him up if it didn't work out. You did a wonderful job with Henry and I'm sure he appreciated all the love and attention. :appl:

Oh honey welcome to the heartbreak hotel. It is tough giving them up - you do form attachments to them, but he knows that you loved him and he will so enjoy his knew home! You are a sweet Mommy and now can spread the love to another sweetie who needs some extra TLC!

Oh Jill, you did a wonderful thing....I'm not sure I could. I am a firm believer that I would fail fostering 101.....unless maybe with a puppy. They're a lot of work. Anyway, wonderful pics and I KNOW he will be happy in his new home......hang in there.:hug99:

Thanks for giving him such a wonderful home while you had him.

There will be many more pups that need your help. (i know, i know, easier said than believed) You did a wonderful and courageous thing, and I am sure his new family will love that he has an Auntie out there who loved him enough to give him a forever home.

Now just watch me having a foster for 30 days this next month. I will probably be in your shoes!

Oh Jill... my heart is breaking for you. I am so glad you decided to do this, and I can't imagine how hard it is... But you have already made a hige difference for Henry and his new hoomons, and I KNOW you will go on to do great things for others as well.

I would cry too... and there's no shame in that. You are a warm loving person and I think you are going to be a great foster mom.
:hug99:

and :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: for Henry and his new forever home.
