I personally would stick with AKC (the second one). Mainly because either USAA or NADAC (not sure which) has a higher AFrame with no slats. But if you cannot do AKC just find out which one of these has a slatted A-Frame and do their agility.
Contact Laramie Kennel Club, Inc.

NADAC has no slats on the a-frame although it's not a really high/steep one. They use some non-skid sorta stuff in the paint. I think it's only about 5' high.
USDAA has a 5'6" A-frame in ther Performance classes. And you can jump your dog at 8" in perfomance only. In the Championship classes 12" is as low as they go. And the A-frame is 5'10" I think. AKC has 8" obstacles.
But classes are more general..you can take them without knowing what venue you will eventually compete in or if you ever will compete. UKC has some different and kinda weird obstacles but the rest of them share the same kind, just with varying heights, rules, and stuff like that. I do mostly CPE. I love it! It has game runs that are fun I think and it's a venue a dachshund really can compete in and be successful. Course times are long enough, they jump heights are reasonable and the A-frame is 5'3". I do UKC and USDAA also. I don't know anyone else who has dachshunds in USDAA and Laika only has qualified once (in jumpers). I do have friends that do UKC and AKC with their dachshunds.
I want to try Teacup Agility (especially designed for little dogs) but there isn't any in my state.

Beautiful....you must be such a proud mama :hearts: :hearts:
I have to admit I wasn't SO proud of Laika this weekend. I know it's for fun but I do still get frustrated when she's not running as well as I know she can. She was SO distracted being outside. She wanted to bark at everything. She mostly restrained from doing that but she was just not focused. We hadn't qualifed ANYTHING Fri. and Sat.!!!! Sunday she got all three but took much cheerleading on my part. And it's awfully hard to cheer and run at the same time when it's 90 degrees. I almost forgot the course! But really I was happy Sunday with what she did...I wasn't expecting her to run cuz it was hot. Although she got to go in a pool and also sit in the shade with a fan instead of being out in the sun bar-setting or leash-running...
I just never know which dog I'm gonna be running...the fast, responsive, fun Laika or the slow-poke barking at everything that moves Laika. Owell..I love them both LOL.
Wow can your kids fly! And Owen does look so tiny on that A frame!!
