Beef short ribs

These always look so nice at the butcher, would it be safe to give Tasha a raw one for her gotcha day supper? I give her marrow bones but never ribs and I'm not sure if they're safe....

Heidi and Princess had some a while back and they loved them, no problems, I also gave them some pork ribs too and they just love those as well!!!!

I feed mine rib bones all the time. They love them and chew on the bones for weeks afterwards. In fact parts of my house look like a graveyard sometimes there's so many rib bones on the floor! :shocked:

Oh that's right, I've heard you mention the graveyard effect before. Ok, that will be Tasha's gotcha day treat tonight...and some chicken....and a bit of meat from our sandwiches in the park.... ;)

I've tried them too, but they didn't go over well tummy-wise with Po so I haven't bought them since!!

It took Tasha a few minutes to figure it out--then chomp chomp chomp she cleaned that thing off FAST! Chewed on the bone for awhile too. We only gave her 1/2 of one, the butcher cut it in two, but it was enough, judging from the huge #2 this am!

DH was miffed I when I ordered it at the butcher since I didn't tell him first, but I just said, we'll, you're not open to trying new things....When he saw how much she loved it, I think it changed his mind. He did think it was gross though.

He suspects I'm heading toward raw feeding (non-premix). :scratch: :scratch: :scratch: Would I do that? :D

Yummy! Sounds like Tasha had a great Gotcha treat! I've never thought about ribs...I'm gonna have to look into it for the Bella girl.
