Turkey bones

I got a package of turkey drumsticks for the herd. Thought it would be a nice difference. The bones scared the beejezus out of me. THey felt really brittle, cracked - almost as if they were cooked yet they were raw. I took them away from some very upset puppers and threw them out. ANyone??? I wanted to get them a whole turkey but not if the bones are gonna be like this.

Hmm,, don't really know, haven't tried them yet, I know Courtney gave Po and Thor a whole Turkey for T-day last year.... I am sure she will tell you,,,

Well, they are going to be bigger, but if they felt brittle for some reason, then it was probably good to take them away. Turkey drumsticks are a HUGE!!! meal for my dogs. Napoleon can't even finish one. I feed turkey necks but only cut in half and with a side of meat.
